Education Programs
Advise
faculty, staff, students and visitors of Crime Prevention Programs through
demonstrations, public speeches, campus media, University Web Sites,
E-Mail, and public relations material
Crime Analysis
Examine
crime reports to determine crime patterns and trends on campus and the
surrounding community area. Program and project recommendations to combat
identifiable problems and prevent future ones from developing.
Crime Prevention
Programs
Implement
various programs such as "Operation ID" auto glass etching,
traffic safety, crime prevention surveys, campus newspaper media tips,
public speaking on such topics as "Street Smart and Safe",
and "Safety Tips for Walking Safe for Fitness Program", personal
security and others as requested.

Surveys
A
comprehensive survey of a requested area which includes physical security,
personal security and safety, and recommendations to maintain or improve
the requested area.

The
unit maintains a resource library stocked with various publications,
pamphlets, a updated web site, in which the community may use as a research
tool and source

Officers
The
Department of Public Safety Crime Prevention Unit Police Officers shall
be available upon reasonable request to discuss all aspects of Crime
prevention with faculty, staff, students and visitors of the University.
