The goals and objectives of the Crime Prevention Unit are to provide for the safety and security of the University, its students, faculty, staff and visitors by conducting activities appropriate for the prevention and reduction of crime on the campus. The unit does this by working with the Police Patrol Division, the Supervisory Staff, the Special Services Division (Detectives) and the University Community to establish priority crime prevention and reduction programs.

The Crime Prevention Unit is also constantly researching new methods and ideas to make the University and the local community area safe and crime free as possible. Requests and suggestions from the University community are always welcome. The Crime Prevention Unit can be reached at:
