The following are the current monetary fines for parking notice violations here on the campus. These fines increase twenty-one days after issuance.

Violations paid after notice to the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles will have an additional penalty. Failure to obey a parking notice or request a hearing within 21days after the date of issuance of such notice, may result in the non-renewal of the license to drive and the registration of the registered owner.

Group A $50.00

    01 Parking within a Handicap Zone
    02 Blocking HP Ramp

Group B $25.00

    03 Parking within a Posted Tow Zone
    04 Parking within a Posted Fire Lane
    05 Parking upon a Sidewalk
    06 Parking in a Crosswalk
    07 Parking within 10 feet of a fire hydrant
    08 Parking within an 20 feet of an intersection
    09 Parking within an Emergency Vehicle Area
    10 Parking so as to obstruct a Building Exit or Entrance
    11 Parking in a controlled parking area without proper authorization
    12 Toll Evasion (non-payment of parking fees)
    13 Parking within a posted bus stop
    14 Parking so as to interfere with snow removal
    15 Parking in a delivery area or service zone

Group C $15.00

16 Double Parking
17 Parking in front of a street barricade
18 Parking in front of a driveway
19 Parking as to block a gateway or field entrance
20 Parking more than 12 inches from the curb
21 Parking in a No Parking Zone
22 Parking in an access lane
23 Parking facing direction of flow of traffic
24 Parking on land not for vehicular use
25 Parking overnight without proper authorization
26 Parking a single vehicle over two parking spaces

MGL Ch. 90 Sec 20D provides penalty for unlawfully removing, tampering with, multilating or destroying a parking notice. A hearing may be obtained upon the written request of the registered owner to the Parking Ticket Hearings Office, Universitry of Massachusetts Boston, Harbor Campus, Dorchester, MA. 01225-3393

Failure to obey this notice or request a hearing within 21 days after the date of the violation, may result in the non-renewal of the license to drive and registration of the registered owner.
